creative dissent: an experiment in integrated art/life practice
drystane dykingsummerhouse

learning to make and to build things for myself is one way of reducing my dependence on the global-capitalist infrastructure and acquiring the skills to shape my own environment to suit my needs and others'.

the use of found and re-used materials, or of locally sourced, sustainable materials, alongside intelligent design, can reduce the carbon footprint of housing and other necessary production.

i have acquired some skills in practical construction and other diy tasks, and continue to develop and add to them through involvement in various projects.
